Black Horse dedicated to providing professional equestrian training courses and equestrian events that cater to a wide range of ages and experiences. Black Horse provides one-off experience classes, short-term training programs, NZPCA certified courses, horse riding events and group gathering events. With a well-rounded course design and flexible membership system, we help members of all ages and different level skillsets to enjoy the art of equestrianism and get to know the culture behind the art form.
Our main priority here at Black Horse is for individuals of all ages to learn and enjoy horse riding. We pride ourselves in the multifaceted curriculums we offer, and our instructors are well experienced and qualified to ensure the safety of students, creating a safe environment to learn and have fun!
Black Horse adopts a learner-centred pathway of teaching, we focus on cultivating learners’ sports skills and additionally helping them learn more humanistic, cultural, and historical knowledge on the art of equestrianism. Throughout the lessons, learners are expected to increase their athletic abilities and coordination, enhance personal skills such as independence (personality independence), social skills, and notably build a sense of self-confidence through understanding the horse’s character and habits.
From those who have never had any experience with horse riding before to those who are looking to learn more advanced riding skills, from children to adults, we offer private, semi-private and group training lessons that involve both systemical theory and practical training. We aim to educate competitional abilities within the group study (group lessons organised based on the level of equestrian experience and age).
